Default Might be going in for an "Oil Change"

I just was informed.. by MTI

That They just finished tuning the first Procharged (D1 unit) on a bolt-on C6 (Exhaust only) this evening.

This Unit from what I was told is one of the cleanest systems out there today. Procharger did an EXCELLENT job with all the engineering that went into it.

Lets get to the good stuff..

2005 Corvette C6

Mods:

1 7/8 Headers w/Catted X-pipe
3200 yank Stall
LS2 Edit
D1 Procharger kit at 8@PSI

RWHP: 585 (didnt ask about the TQ )

*EDIT*

RWTQ: 523

This is out of an Automatic with 3.42 gears

Needless to say I am seriously thinking of keeping the C6 and slapping this on there ASAP.

I could only imagine what this kit would do on my Heads/Cam setup...

I hope David comes in and gives us a little more info.

Cheers
G

Damn those are good numbers for a car with basically just a blower. And through an automatic...

that's a huge misconception about people who own nice cars. just because you can manage to buy it doesn't mean you want to/can just dump $4-6,000 on it. Usually people that can afford cars in the $50k+ range weren't able to afford it because they're stupid with their money, yet they're wise in how they manage it.

or on the other hand, some aren't smart with their money, and they just can't afford to drop lots of cash in it because they're already living check to check to pay for that BMW/Lambo etc. Lots of people that drive really nice cars, live in nice houses, don't have any free money after bills.

I see what you're saying, but a lot of peoples definition of "affording" is that it's possible, not wise. However, you're like me, and if I had a vette too, it would only be if I could really afford it, and that would mean I'd have money left over for something like that.

A blower on your car would be SWEET.

I know you were talking about nitrous also. I'd say go with blower - you'll be MUCH happier. No refilling of the bottle, and the power will ALWAYS be there. You drive that car too much to not have it's full power on tap at any given time.
