OK...beat this! We, family in 5 cars, left Lake Jackson Wed. at 1:30pm and headed to Lufkin. Took 288 to Beltway 8 and took it around to 59 and from 59 to Lufkin. We arrived around 4:00pm Thursday. It took us over 26 1/2 HOURS! UNfreakinbelievable! I thought my car would overheat, but thank goodness I had the Meziere waterpump. My in-laws dog died along the way too, it was very sad.

I had friends who took 12 hrs to get from Baytown to Bw8 and Gessner. My brother took just over 24 hrs to get from Baytown to Buffalo, Tx.
My wife left early on with her parents and took 2.5-3 hrs to get to Lufkin.
I had some friends who took their grandmother along. She had a heart attack in the car and is not expected to survive.
