Which Track to go to?

Which Track to go to? my cars FINALLY got here tonight from Boston... so now i need to get some new slips! unfortunatley, i dont know anything about the tracks around here, so i'm gonna need some help finding the best/closest 1/4mi track.
i'm in SW FW, so it looks like my choices are either Texas Motorplex in Ennis, which is about an hour away, or Texas Raceway in Kennedale, which is 25mins away. the NHRA site says that Kennedale is 1/4mi, but i coulda swore i heard someone say its only 1/8mi??? I cant find that info on kennedale's site one way or the other. I'd prefer to go to the closer track, but since I only really want to do 1/4mi, I'm gonna need some help here from the people that actually know.
once i find the right track, what nights do i go up on? back home, we had 'street night' on wednesday and friday nights, doors at 5, race at 6. it was $17, nothing organized, just open racing. you could get a ton of runs in, but they didn't do much track prep. kennedale's site shows a street night on thursday, but i'm not seeing anything like that on ennis' site...

I noticed that ennis is a NHRA track. my track back home is an IHRA track. do NHRA tracks have any different rules? i know IHRA requires long pants, helmets for sub 14s... my car only runs 13.2 (with me driving
