Sorry Mike no one beats up on Smokey except for me... But if you can find a willing car that is built to handle some pretty hard abuse, that you can borrow for the challenge I'm up for it...

 

Anybody want to ante up the car? SMokey hasnt been btich slapped good here lately without me working at the track anymore.. He needs a good one!

 

I don't know how bullet proof it is, but the drivetrain is built up pretty good.. I do need a billet Steel Flywheel to go with my Ram 900 heavy duty clutch.. Once I get the flywheel I'm going the change the clutch disk out and input shaft in the tranny to a 26 spline instead of the 10 spline TKO shaft that I have now..

 

I ran 7.1s in my cam only TA, the Z28 I have now dynos 70rwhp more on motor through the same 4L60, PT4000, 3.73 setup that I had then. I still have some tuning to do but you do the math

 

It's very easy to run good times with an Auto.. It's more difficult to do it with a 5 speed.. 5 speeds will usually make more power then the auto but the auto will be faster down the track... I know some people that have gone 6.7's with a cam only car thats an auto.. Anything can happen if you have the right set up..

I know I can get this car alot faster in the 1/8 mile then it is now.. All I would have to do is put my 4.10's or 4.30's back in, take some weight out and put my skinnies on.. It should run some 6.9's then..

I know that... I just changed from being a track only person to both track and street.. And those other gears are a little too much for the street and only being able to top out at 120mph in 4th, but it would get there rather quickly, but after that it was over..

Look man I'm not cocky at all I just wanted to know what you had because I think dans car is pretty bad *** for what it is!
The fastest the car has been is 7.12 @95 with a 1.58 60' thAt was with a t400, untuned, full weight(exept front bumber support) and the only sus. I had was Lca, subframes and cheap *** drop springs..Call it a turtle, I dont care I'm happy with it!

 

Okay....... turtle Man I'm just messin with ya, you got a nice setup. I haven't even taken mine to the track yet. Gotta get a new clutch and a re-tune before I see any track time
