Yeah, I have been there too. I had an SRT 4 pull up next to me one night revving his motor. I had DR's on the car at the time, and feathered the throttle just right and left him by a car length before his car even started to move. Needless to say, he made an immediate u-turn.

i spanked many mustangs and camaros and i didnt spend more than 5k to make it run 12.0 at 118mph (this was over 7 years ago)..it wasnt the nicest but i was damn proud of it..

The ignorance in these discussions comes from being unable to separate two factors. The vehicles and the drivers.
In stock for stock trim with the same driver in the same conditions the Neon has no chance. The fbody is 0.7-1.0 sec faster.
Throw in different drivers, mistakes, etc. A Neon driver might make up the difference. If they truly got a kill then so be it, congradulate the driver, but it was the driver NOT the car. (P.S. We should take the keys away from the fbody driver.)

i remeber a while back one of those srt4 owners couldnt get his oil drain plug out so he took off his oil filter and started his car to get the oil out......there is a thread about it somewhere there..........

i faced reality as to what i had, and set my goals for what i wanted... and i got it!
i'm with you guys... a lot of srt owners really dont have a clue about cars in general or what their car is capable of.....
but you do have to respect thos who do have srt's that do make real power (big turbos or good tuning)
i have all the respect in the world for ls1's, but dont bash on ALL srt owners, just on a douchbag by douchbag basis
