Default anyone know what this is??

this is why i cant run the car right now but when i floor it , everynow and then it will stay reved really high even though my foots of the gas.. the only way to get it back down is to pop the gas peddle a little bit reving it up and down and eventially it will return to idle.. i dont think anything is stickin in the TB but maybe its a sensor like W.O.T sensor??? anyone else experience this or know how to correct this??

Have you tried turning off the car, disconnecting the throttle cable and opening/closing the TB by hand? That'd cancel out a few things right there.

check to make sure there is no slop in the throttle cable if you have a TCS car. Mine did something similar until I adjusted the slack out of it.

take your throttle body off and clean it. my 00 ss did the same thing. It was sticking, i cleaned it and it didn't do it for a while, then i replaced the tps sensor, throttle positioning sensor and it never did it again.

Look there are only a few things that control this. The IAC, may be getting stuck and letting to much air by and that will cause it for sure. If your sure the throttle cable and all is clear of any physical obstructions then that is the first place I would start. Take it off and inspect it anyone with a tech 2 can maually move it in and out for further diagnosis etc... Fairly easy fix though. And when you both want to get drug let me know I am sure I can accomodate you LOL! Just jk wanted to get in on some of the little smack talking. Hope this helps.

I am not sure how delicate they are or are not I would assume you can use some kind of brake parts cleaner on it seems like I've done that before. No promises though.

The IAC only works at IDLE. Even at 100%, it can't raise the rpm to the levels the dude is talking about. The throttle plate is sticking.

the reason that i dont think the throttle plate is sticking is because when it's reving high on it's own, i can shut the car off while im driving and restart it and it's back to normal idle. So my thinking is that if the throttle blade WAS stuck open, then when i restarted the car it should STILL be stuck...
So i have no damn clue lol.. just think it's one of the sensors??
