Question G&G Machine Shop in Tomball

Has anyone done any business with this machine shop? I would like to use them but I have no idea how they operate and what their reputation is. Any help is much appreciated.

I did a motor from them about 3 years ago and its still running. Good on bottom end work. Their headwork is not all that, for that I used Owen @ ARD.

Joe built the shortblock in my Formula, and its been perfect. He also ported my cylinder heads way back when (2000 time frame). He does good work.

I personally know of three engines, my own included, that have been done by Joe at G&G. Outstanding work, second to none. Prices are not too shabby either. Can't go wrong with them.

I am very satisfied with the work they've done for me. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but with their work you do get what you pay for.

They did the machining on my motor. They did good work and Joe is really helpful.

WOW!! I guess Joe does have quite a reputation! I went and talked with him on Tuesday and he seemed to know exactly what I needed to do to get things going on my 383 stroker motor. Thanks guys for all of your input!

Man I sure am glad to hear all the props everyone's givin' Joe...I'll be pickin' up my "refreshed" short block tomorrow...He's not the cheapest (which is fine if you get what you pay for) but like everyone said he's very professional, provides great quality work and his turn around time has got to be the best in the area...I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Are you pokin fun at me Kelly? I bet my lawnmower is faster than yours!

I'm very glad to see that everyone has nothing but good things to say about Joe. I don't think his prices are too bad for getting the block cleaned up. Now when it comes time for balancing and notching the block and shaving the rods, that might be a whole other story. I hope it's not too much, my wife has me on a strict gear head budget!

Beeville is a long way, but I'm from Bellville, which is only about an hour drive from Tomball. The machine shop of choice for Bellvilleians is K&K's in Giddings. But since I work in North Houston I figured I could stop by and bug Joe when ever I needed to on the way home from work.
