If I remember reading it right, it's 44 psi max on the F1's. Do you remember what psi you had it at the last time you put air in it? I ask because my g/f is still on stock F1's and don't want her to deal with this.

The max is around 44psi, BUT you should be at 34psi. Look at your cars owners manual or door sticker.
I do believe your tires were way over inflated.

Peace,
Craig.

the tires were the original tires on the car. It had nothing to do with them being over/under inflated - it was my fault for not getting new tires. The tread was illegal back in august when I had them put back on my front tires.

When i bought my D/Rs, I put the tires that were on the back tires - on the front tires, and then when i got a hole in one of those - i put the tires that HAD been on the front tires back onto them. I was recycling tires to save money. Plus they were good tires - why get new ones? HAHA. Now I know. But these tires had 50K miles on them and are almost 5 years old (technically they ARE 5, as they were put on the camaro in 9/00 since it's an 01)

Ive had my D/Rs on since Feb of this year and will be able to last on them for a while.

Spun my '72 Corvette 360 degrees due to a rear blowout. Long story but the short version is: Very lucky to be alive.

O M G!!!

Stock........tires.......with 50k miles on them....?!

That is very very crazy thing to neglect, that is gambling with your life, and others in your car as well.

Peace,
Craig.
