Calls from prison
Calls from prison Anyone else get these random collect calls from prisoners? I never had any until we moved into our house, and I've had three since. I never accept the charges, obviously, but WTF?!

ive got those a couple random times, and one time they kept calling like at 1am so i finally answered it, and it was one of my friends! lol arrested for street racing what do you know... and he could only remember my number, cause you can only call land lines, and he didnt want to call his house. lol anyway thats my experience
When I got thrown in the slammer for fighting in my younger idiotic days, my DAD would not answer the phone because of the, "you have a collect call from a Harris county inmate" preface message.... It might have been a friend asking to be bailed out...or a scam that may work.

Chances are pretty good its a scam. Our house number is pretty easy to make up of the top of your head, so we get them from time to time. My buddy goes to college in Fla and he got one on his cell phone from travis county jail a few weeks ago. He didnt answer, but called me to make sure nobody we know in Austin was in jail lol.
Basically I wouldnt answer them if I were you.

It's most definitely a scam. Do a search on the internet and you'll find something about it.

My sister had this happen once. It was some guy asker her to call his mother cause she wouldnt answer his calls. Said he was crying like a little baby. Maybe he was in a federal bound you in the A$$ prison.
All i got to say maybe one of these times its some one u know, i know im glad my mom answered when i called her at 4:30am, or else i would have been stuck in there on my birthday!
