Default help w/Headers?

I'm looking to buy new headers for my ls1 and like to know what brand should i go for ? Edelbrock.? Hooker ? any ideas

agreed with eric, if you have the money than kooks, if not than Hookers, jet hots, i also see lots of people runnin pacesetters LT's.

Get Hooker, I got mine from MTI for about $400 and recieved them the next day! They'll come with the black high temp paint, but you should get them ceramic coated.

i'd go stainless if you get the chance. they just look nicer in the long run(eventually coating will rust if you drive it as much as i do). if you don't go stainless, get pacesetter from TSP.

depends on your monetary constraints. I went with Hooker.


i paid about 400 for mine from MTI, they had them there on site, bought my ORY from them as well, and they put them on.


I'm very pleased with all of the parts and work involved.

My headers have not rusted. They won't rust if you get them done right.

KOOKS LONG TUBES Your going to be spending some money, but KOOKS are some of the best and you get what you pay for.

do it right the first time, get the kooks and you wont be dissapointed. they look nice, and installed fast.

I went with pacesetters from TSP, guess it depends where you're from. Most of the guys here run pacesetters, but we are like 10 minutes away from TSP lol.

kooks if you have the money, I had hooker coated LT's they made good power for the money!!It also depends on your plans for the car after the headers...

kooks there is no other..if your going to spend $400 you could get some used kooks for that maybe less.. its not like you goign to install them and never turn you car on anyways. And the fitment is second to none!!

I have a set of Hooker Super Comps. in my garage.. they are rusted but unpitted. Need to find someone who can de-rust em and ceramic coat em... who comes to mind?

They were FREE!!!

I just order my QTP's, I was also looking real hard into it. I decided to go ahead and spend more money than to regret it later on like most of the people i see that they went cheap da first time. QTP"S ALL THE WAY!!!!!!
