CRAGER,It's bone stock, sorry for the camaro misspellling. At start up hers was almost peg'd out. I apologise for all the literary mistakes,the incident happend moments before I posted.

You're not being yelled out man, no worries.
Oil pressure high, fine, low oil pressure bad. I don't know how you got 80psi, but just keep an eye on it.
Have you checked it out since all of this happened, have you started it or anything?

CRAGER,yeah we went out xmas shopping in it this weekend,It's doing some other weird stuff though ,#1 When you start it now all the needles on the dash are maxing out. #2 trip meter resets itself every time you start the car. Any of this familiar to you my friend?

if this helps my camaro has always had high oil pressure about 60 psi when i start it up cold ( when it is as cold as it is now outside) when it is warm it is just under 40 psi. hope this helps

I ran 5w 30 then on start up it was above 80 then warm it was 40 on the gas up to 80
recently had the motor rebuilt
craped out on me again
10w 30 start up the same warm looked like right above the redline on no pressure. on the gas was 40. I trew another lifter. So its back at the shop.
