if you want to go all out you can go to Americas on westheimer. You will pay out the *** for you food but if you trying to impess her it will definately work. you'd be looking at 50 bux or better a plate.

Mark's on Westheimer and Dunlavy... best high class restaurant in Houston, without a doubt. Be ready to drop some cash though.

Willie G's on Post Oak. It's my favorite, they're consistantly good, and decently priced (compared to Vic and Anthonys, The Capital Grill, etc.).

By far the most romantic restaurant in town is Mark's in River Oaks. You can take a look at their website for more info. I took my fiance there and proposed to her. Had flowers delivered there during the day, called the manager and told him when to bring them out. Staff was very courtess. Swept her off her feet.

I'd have to adree with Truluck's, Vic & Anthony's and the capitol grille, they are all pretty nice. Tase of Texas is good too, but more of a famiily style place.

One of my favorite resteraunts is the Rainbow Lodge the first time I went there, I thought I was being taken to a gay bar but it's actually a really nice place. Hard to believe its in Houston, its got huge trees, and hills, and it really looks like a lodge. They have more exotic foods, which at first I was wary of, but its all really, really good.

Someone else with good taste in a restaurant.

Da Marco is also a nice place, right down Westhimer from Mark's.

The most romantic setting is at Michaelangelos...dim, waiter dont interfere much, piano playing, good wines etc....slightly pricey, get a reservation first and dont expect to be full after dinner. The meals are more of a show/art rather than a full plate.

Mark's is excellent.
The Rouge on Westheimer is also a VERY nice environment with a ballroom up top (although I'm not sure they're done with the ballroom)
