Actually it is ... 35th Anniversary Collectors Edition Firebird.. Thats the official name. Ask anyone who knows Firebirds.

Actually it isn't the first TA was in 1969 which made the 1999 model the 30th. Now how do you figure 3 years later is 35th????

he is right and wrong at the same time.

02 is 35th for FIREBIRDS, so, yes its true, BUT his car is a TRANS AM, not the same as a firebird, so his car is not 35th ann trans am its 33rd ann.

I knew you would say that !! The car is the 35th Anniversary of the Firebird in 1967. 2002 = 35yrs . They put it on the flagship of the model which is WS6 Trans Am. It is a common misconception that many people don't know but trust me I do I'm a Firebird fanatic, but don't just take my word on it ask around..
