It's not hard to shut down a team that launchs the 3 ball like them. Teams with big guys do better in the tournaments, not the teams with little guards.
I have Duke beating Texas also
I give the aggies a pretty good shot to get by LSU
I like all the 1 seeds in the Final Four
Nova is 8/1 to win it all this year, third behind UConn at 5/2 and Duke at 4/1
the Villanova pick isn't too bad IMO, however i don't see them getting by UConn, but Nova is VERY fast, and shoots the ball quite well, but what they do best, and have been doing all season; is getting to the basket. Foye is a terror in the lane, the only team that they will encounter that will stop that is UConn who blocks more shots than anybody else, if somehow they can live and die by the 3 ball I would say that UConn game can stay close.
I have Duke beating Texas in a close one and Memphis following suit just as they did in the regular season and beating UCLA to get to the Final 4.
they won the game
it was never in doubt
they played well all season, never ranked worse than 8
they've been covering spreads for me all year when they needed to, heh.
I won't lose faith in the shooting of a team with Nardi, Foye, Lowry, Ray on it, ever. They've faced some of the hardest defenses in the nation and thrived, beat UConn with their outside game.
I however won't stick up for their poor shooting performance against Monmouth, but they did find ways to exploit them, Allan Ray looked strong, Foye had some really bad shot selection, as did Nardi, I wouldn't say they were shut down, they were too trigger happy IMO they missed a lot of open looks.
Seldom will Nardi and Foye miss open shots like today, we shall see though, I think Nova will get it together.
