Mad props to you... running mid 6's.... isnt that a low 10 1/4 mile car?? your car is a daily driver if you replace the slicks with ET Street Radials.....

To make it any faster would take big changes... no way you can run any better than a 1.4 60ft......... so you are almost at the limits without going either lighter..... or with an auto .... IMHO.

I am very jealous....

where did you get the 12 bolt from? Gotta love a 6-speed... under 2k rpms at 70mph...... and good gas mileage on the highway
Now you are talking out of your ***...

A street car definition....

One that can drive at any RPM and cruising MPH for a long period of time.

I know Mike drove his T400 car to Baton Rouge for a Thunder Event and ran mid 10's and drove it back home towing that Brown Station wagon behind him at over 90 mph back on a tow strap....Id say that Josh's is just as streetable as his car was.

semantics.....nonetheless.... any car that is not capable of being a daily driver.... (less mpg concern) is not a streetcar... reg, inspection, insurance.. etc....

a car that is WITHOUT radio, carpet, ac, powersteering is not "really" a street car... the definition is in interpretation.... who gives a rats ***.... "I" consider a streetcar one that is not a trailor queen... one that you can drive everyday and it not tear **** up.... Heck... some could say that by weight reduction you are no longer a "streetcar"... well... maybe.. maybe not...

hell.. for a full weight car his time kicks ***! cut the man some slack.. there is always bigger, faster, stronger..... and more durable (I.E. this V6 96 ford truck with 210k sprayin a 150 shot... lol)

Street car: It has a basically stock interior, can cruise on the highway within reason, you could pick a date up in it and not have to explain why your car looks like it belongs in a dukes of hazard show, your exhaust is far enough back to not choke you at a stop light, no more than a 6 point bar, A/C, P/S, Radio.

Jaypee couldn't have picked up a date yesterday, she would have had to sit on the floor.

picket fence? that's definately Kennedale and that's definatly not a race car but i personally wouldn't consider anything with huge hole saw holes ALL OVER IT a street car either. it's something blurry in the middle.

the pics posted earlier showed a wood fence.

as for the blurry middle, I'd have to agree....... but hey, anyone remember that honda/acura they got in the low 10s 1/4 by just removing weight? I think they chopped the top off and the doors to get that. gokarts are fast for a reason though i guess....

Blah blah blah. Street car this and street car that. This is always a huge argument that goes on forever and ever. You know what, a street car is different for every single person. One person may think that cruising at 3500rpm is ridiculous and the next may not care at all. One may not be able to live without AC and the next may not even notice. So who really cares? Its not like you have to drive everyone else's car, you only have to drive yours. So if you dont want to congratulate JP, then go away

Congrats man

basically it all comes down to opinion. my opinion is that if you don't have to buy it from Jerry Haas, or Jerry Bickle it's not a racecar. Production cars that are rebuilt are still production cars just rebuilt.....but that is all in my opinion.
