Your car in Houston has to go on a sniffer, so it would need dual cats since you have long tubes, would also need all the egr and air stuff. Best bet is to try and see if you can get it inspeced in College station since your I guess in school up there? There is way to get it inspected in that county since your there most of the year.

yes yes all good ideas. i have been trying to think of a good "friendly" one but i'll have to do more inspecting of my own back in h-town.

ls1powerhouse02 yea your car is friggin' mean!!! i used to get it passed by having my cut-out open and they would just put the sniffer in my tail pipe and be like "wow you passed really well, good car you have here" haha, but now with the lt's it is a bit too loud for them not to notice.

dont I have to have insurance in brazos county to get it inspected here? if not then i would love to do it just not sure. plus they do the visual inspection and the lack of cats might be bad.

It might acually help because the car runs cleaner higher in the rpm's. It depends on your tune.

Unless you find someone really friendly you'll need proof of ins. in any county to get inspected.

Stall wont hurt any thing far as smog goes. There use to be some thing to petition or get some thing from the court house to get your car inspected in the county is primarily is in. 96speed did it a few times for his LT1

i'v been trying to pass for like a week now ... first time they ran it with the cut out open and failed horribly (kinda thought i would though ) second time i put the original computer back in the car. then another guy said "did you know you have a cut out on your car" i played stupid. "no wow there is a big whole in my exhaust". he told me i had to go to a muffler shop and get it welded up .. it was freakin funny couldnt keep a strait face. could not believe he thought i was that stupid. now i am trying to get some help from some friends that know people. but i got to hurry because i already got a warning for it and got to show the court a reciept by the beggining of next month.
