Default got hit today... :(

So as I was studying my *** off for my contingent claims final today apparently someone swung their truck too far and hit my car in the zachary parking lot. I don't know when they did it since I was parked for a few hours. Just a note saying, "im sorry i hit your car, i normally dont hit cars, or get tickets, how about we leave insurance out of it" and that was it. no car to be found that hit me so i have nothing really. luckily it isnt too bad, just some nasty scrapes and a dent but on top of me probably failing that test and possibly failing the class and losing my math minor, it just pisses me off.

sorry just had to vent a little.

sorry to hear about that! brandon(sleek_silverado) had his truck hit at zach. I got a nasty door ding like 2 weeks ago from some jackass at freebirds. I was livid for like 3 hours, enough to try and persuade brandon in letting me borrow his saturn to purposfully open every door into other peoples cars randomly through town.

Turn it in on insurance as a hit and run, my friend had that happen and the insurance covered it.

I've seen you quite a few times in the Zachry lot, Petroleum Engineering right?

Besides the point, how bad are the scrapes? Like Bill said you could try insurance. However, depending on the severity of the scrapes maybe you could use a Porter Cable polisher to get them out. I have wetsanded scratches on my car before and then used Menzerna Intensive Polish to get out the microscratches from the wetsanding. Post a pic of the damage, maybe its fixable.

yea im sure it is, already talked to my dad about it. isnt worth my insurance going up and the $500 deductible. I think i can get most of the scrapes out, not the chips though, and the dent looks poppable maybe. i'll try to get pix.

quick question, does out fuel doors have like rubber stoppers behind them? I see 2 holes where something could have been and when i close my door it is louder than usual.

yea im a PETE

silver camaro right? always on like the second to last spot on the first row. im always envious of the first row spots. lol, dont get them too often

That sucks man, good luck with it, it's nerve racking having a nice car and worrying about where you park. Early next year I plan on getting another Jeep TJ, sold my 2000 which was HUGE, setup for rockcrawling, couldn't door ding it you tried.

Hope you get her fixed up soon, long live the LT1s

Yea that's me, it's Pewter though

Anyway, like I said depending on how bad the scratches are I or someone else may be able to use a Porter Cable to get them out a hell of a lot better than by hand. If you can't take some pics, maybe i'll see your car around Zachry lot and walk over and took a look at it. Where at on your car is it scratched/dented? Also, can you stick your fingernail in the scratches?

Saw your car at Zachry this morning, that's a pretty nasty size dent you got. Thing's big enough where you might be able to try a plunger to pull it out. I didn't noticed the scratches too much but the ones I did notice were on the dent. First thing to do is try to get that dent out. There is a place in Houston called Mobile Works (http://www.e-mobileworks.com/) that does paintless dent removal on high price vehicles mostly. From what I hear they are quite good at what they do. You may want to give them a try, I believe its only $100 for each panel or something like that.

if you want to stay local, i got my dents popped at dentmagic in bryan, the guys over there are very good at what they do. they popped my 2 rear 1/4's for like 70 bucks. i have to go back to them to get a new dent popped so maybe we can get a group buy and it will be cheaper.

you know, if you have the note...you *might* be able to go to cspd and see if *by chance* they can get a fingerprint off of it and see if it matches anything. then go to persons house and check out their car, if its red paint on it then call a cspd officer, file a hit and run charge on them and get their insurance info.

im also an ******* who will put in the time to **** people over who do stuff liek that, thats just what i would do.

Hey guys, don't post in here much, but I've seen a couple of your cars around campus.

I know the feeling man, I hate people that can't own up to the stuff they cause. I hope you get it fixed for cheap! I had the exact problem last week. I park in front of Northgate on the street and someone hit my back bumper pulling out, good 1'x1' section on the corner that is scratched to hell and missing the clear now. I'm just waiting for the spider cracks now. No note or anything. Typical.
