Just saw this. Fair weather fan eh? And the Mavs have not sucked for a long time, just had to get rid of some excess baggage. Finley comes to mind.

Nash was and is a good player. He is no MVP but yet he is still good, some of the shots he made looked like me playing all wheels off. This is not going to be a walk in the park. A bad stat for us Mavs fans- since 1991 in the Western conference finals the team to win the first game has won the series 91% of the time.

None at all. Yeah this has the signs of being another great series.
3 steps is what they give, 2 steps is the rule, Diaw took 5. But again, I know they wont call it. I'm just steaming, Mavs play poor defense being up 6 with 1 min. to go. Baring another total lapse of conciousness with a min. to go, Mavs win in 5, maaaaaybe 6.

Btw.... Steve Nash is LOL.

God that was horseshit! The Mavs are clearly the better team, but they need to execute like the better team. Thats all this game came down to

Please tell me why Stackhouse was on Diaw on that last posession? Last time I checked Stack was not one of our key defenders

This is gonna be a tough series for the Mavs. I hope the Mavs can pull it out.

The Suns got too many easy baskets on fast breaks and that pick n roll play. The Mav's have to play better defense and slow the pace of the game down if they're going to last 7 games.

I thought the Mavs did pretty well the first 42 minutes, but if you are gonna play fast with those guys and let them score...if would be nice to not have two turnovers in the final 1:30. And no, Stack should not have been defending Diaw.

Avery will get it together in Game 2 (as always) and start pushing down on them defensively and stop those breaks and 3's.

The MAvs should have blown out this team plain and simple. The problem was they started playing Nelly ball just trying to see who could score more points by throwing up the most shots. The Mavs have to control the tempo of the series and not let the Suns dictate the pace of the games. After watching the game and the break down of it you see where the MAvs made there mistakes.

Oh and I remember the old days of the Mavericks back when Don Carter owned them and they where winning 13 games a year with player like Sean Rooks, and the three J's. There where some rough basketball times in this town but thanks to Cuban he has helped resurrect this thing. The last good thing the old owner Don Carter did was draft Dirk and well seel the team to Cuban.

Ross Perot Jr. had the team from 96 to 2000. He sold it to Cuban.

I think it the mavs did ok they just had a defense off night they werent playing defense at all n we only manage to lose by 3. I think now that game one is played avery well adjust to the suns and the mavs will win game 2.

Exactly, look at Game 1 and 2 in the Spurs series. It sucks we lost that home-court advantage, but I think we can win in Phoenix.
