I grew up in Austin during the mid-'70's, and I feel like I'm in a time warp every time I watch that movie. I was the class of '78, so I would have been one of the younger guys. Falstaff beer was on sale for .99 a six-pack (hot), Marlboro's were .60 a pack, premium fuel was .60 a gallon, and big-block Chevelle's and Camaro's were used cars that nobody wanted. I wish I had kept 5 or 6 of the cars I had...

Hells Yeah!!,this is my favorite movie,awesome quote. I watch this movie at least once a month.Classic,pure and simple,and what an era!!

Definitely one of my favorites! Still one of the greatest movies I've got that gets me ready to go out and go party!

That's actually my favorite part of the movie. He flinches at the nerd then "Ehhh?" I cry laughing everytime that part happens.

I too am a product of that era and can enjoy the movie even at 45. Gotta love the tunes too
