Yup. Mash and go is really growing on me (especially when holding a Starbuck's). And I still have the manual sport mode using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

I have the steptronic on the wife's mazda, its a nice feature. But on a C6......I couldn't justify it unless I had another manual sports car. And that isn't gonna happen any time soon....

Yes, in hindsight the paddle shifts (after going from two M6 cars) aren't near as fun as rowing through the gears because there is still a slight delay from when you hit it until it actually shifts, but for high-speed "sporty" runs on rough roads, I am much happier with both hands on the wheel.

quick question about the paddle shiftihg, how do you like the location of the shifters, i know GM went a different way from all of the other manufactors and did a thumb shifter or somthing like that

It took a little getting used to. I only just went over the 500 mile break-in over the weekend, so I really haven't opened it up yet and really played with them. The location is good and it has them on both the 9:00 position and the 3:00 position (thumbs to upshift and fingers to downshift), so no matter what hand happens to be on the wheel during the turn, you can still hit the shift. And you can still bounce off the rev limiter.
