They have been really good at forwarding our get well cards sent there. I would give you the address to the hospital here but we are hoping to be transferred to rehab this week....in either Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston.
We will be sure to keep everyone updated- and where our new address for cards or visitors will be.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and encouragement, it means the world to him and I am reading him every single message.
Thanks,
Jenny

Here is a link to the latest entry into the Brady Standard-our local paper. Unfortunately all of the grants or charity for rehab have been used up for 2006. So...we are looking at raising money ASAP for a Spinal Cord Rehab Center. $30k hopefully within the next week, because the rehab he is getting here is about an hour a day if we are lucky.
I had one member e-mail me about a charity cruise?? Would there be a few people intrested in that? I know for one my husband would love to get pics of everyones cars. Actually he would rather be cruising with everyone....but I know one day he will be able to do that again.
Right now it has been narrowed down to Baylor in Dallas, or Reeves in San Antonio. Does anyone have any information or know anyone who has any info on any of these two places? I just want him to get the therapy he needs, and get better so we can go home. Although I know that we still have a long road ahead of us. If I could just get some feedback on the cruise that would be great. Thanks for all your support and just keep the prayers coming!! I'll arrange anything I need to on this end.
Thanks guys!!

I know alot would depend on the location. The state is really spread out, but I would try to make it to something like that.

Hopefully some other members will chime in and give you some positive feedback.

Very sad to hear, but I wish you both the best and hope he has a full and speedy recovery.

I was in an ATV accident as well when I was 16, no broken bones but I flew 50ft from the ATV and landed on my head ... I had a brain injury and was in a "coma" like state ("unconscious but responsive" is what they called it) for 4 days before waking up in the hospital to see my fam huddled around my bed. I had no f'in idea where I was or what happened, but with enough support from loved ones anything is possible. I too made a full recovery after spending weeks in the hospital and then 6 weeks in rehab (both mental and physical).

Keep us updated on his progress.
