T-Top or Convertable
I am thinking about buying another Camaro more than likely SS and I am trying to decide if I want to get a T-Top or a Convertable. Let me know some of your likes and dislikes about both.

I love my convertible 6-speed for the following reasons:
1. Just drop top an go
2. cool evenings are the best
3. wife loves to go on dates in it
4. kids love it when I pick them up from school in it
5. everyone looks at it
6. Can hear my LM2 very nicely
7. in case of bad weather just stop an push a button to put top back up, it's way faster than getting out and putting Ts on
What I don't like about my vert:
1. The rear window is too small when top is up
I'm actually thinking of selling it to get a boat. Let me know where to send pics if your interested.

I used to work at a dealership and drove them all. Honestly i think t-tops is the way to go. I just think they look sexy.
I think the convertibles just look long from the side. Plus, they cost more to insure if that matters.

I've owned a few of both, and the convertibles are much nicer. I used that convertible top about 100x more than my t-tops, you can just unlatch it and drop the top at a redlight, whenever you wish. When the weather looks like rain, just put it back up. With t-tops, you have to do the chinese fire drill and get out of the car, its a hassle.
convertible for cruising, t-tops for racing at the track.

I don't have that problem, mine are remote controlled.

I actually really miss my '95 droptop TA. They're great for cruising, you have an open roof at the flick of a switch. Of course they look ugly with the top up IMO, but I hardly ever had it up unless it was just insanely hot/cold or raining. The only time I really take my t-tops off now is when I'm going on a long drive, like to the beach, or in between college and my hometown or somethin.
What a shame that I totalled it. It was sweet, solid white, white leather, nicely modded... RIP! Here's some before/after pics!

I love my convertible. Having owned a hardtop SS before, I didn't think I would really care for the droptop. I only bought it because I thought I could "flip" it and make some quick cash.
That was two & half years ago (and a couple of thousand dollars in mods). Now I can't imagine being without it. That having been said, if I was wanting to start racing again, I would not have bought the convertible.
