Default Help with Firefox browser (can't view video clips)

A while back, a lot of you suggested I use Firefox as a browser, so I did so. I've run into a problem and I can't seem to figure out how to fix. So I need some help.

I was on killsometime.com and clicked on a video clip, but I can't seem to view it. The area that the video is suppose to be in has a green puzzle piece and says click here to download plugins. So I click on it, and it pops up a window that says no suitable plugins were found. I don't know why the video clip won't play, I have Windows Media Player, Real Player, and Quicktime that came on my computer. How do I fix this? TIA

When you go to the site killsometime.com , it should have a banner on the top of your firefox browser that says "you must install Macromedia Flash Player to view content".
If you do not see it, go to adobe.com and download it. Adobe has aquired macromedia so just look for adobe flash player.

So if I have all these players already on my computer, how can I set it to open it with one of them?

If I open up Internet Explorer, I have no problem viewing the clips.

firefox requires it's own flash plugins...which is why you cannot view that site in firefox.

So I downloaded Adobe Flash Player and Windows Media Player for Mozilla Firefox. Videos now play on KillSomeTime.com However, when I'm at Cingular, I try to view/preview or listen to music ringtones, it won't play them. Again, its with the plug-ins. What now?

Another thing I noticed, my profile song on MySpace worked fine last night, but its not working anymore tonight. I'm not sure if its my computer or browser. I asked a couple of buddies to see if it worked for them and it does. I figured downloading the 2 players I mentioned above would fix it, but nothing.

un-install everything related to firefox....including firefox.

reboot and re-install.

Is there anyone else using your computer?
Are you doing anything else to the computer and leaving that info out of this discussion?

By any chance are you running noscript as an add on with your firefox? I run noscript and videos usually dont work for sites unless I allow the site to run scripts.

Zosam, I don't even know what that is so, probably not. How can I tell if I'm running that?

Kewl_Blades, I unistalled Firefox last night thinking that would do it, but it didn't. I can try again.

I deleted Adobe reader, Flash player, Windows Media Player, and Firefox. Rebooted, downloaded Adobe reader and Firefox. It still doesn't play music ringtones on Cingular and my profile song on MySpace still doesn't work. It shows connecting, then after a little while it fails.

Weird, my profile song now plays. I contacted the staff on MySpace, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Either way, I'm glad that is out of the way, but Cingular music ringtones are still not working for me.
