several in Fort Worth, Cattleman's, and a few others in the stock yards. Rick Stein's is supposed to be really good, but i don't know where in the metroplex it is.

In Plano there's a place called Steve Fields that's at Preston and Park on the NW corner. It's amazing. I've been to Bob's Steak and Chop House, III Forks, Ruth's Chris Steak House, and various other exceptional places, but Steve Fields takes the cake. Look it up.

Butchershop in West End. Might try Papa Bros. on Northwest highway as well. Both are BADASS. Texas Roadhouse can lick my left nut along with Outback both suck!

i too, am a big fan of saltgrass. one of the best center cut filet's i've ever had, and their ribs are good too.

H3 in the stockyards is ok... my roomate loves that place, but i think its just slightly above average (average being places like outback or texas roadhouse).

i went to butcher shop in west end of dallas once, but it wasnt that great. my steak got undercooked 'because it was early and the grill wasnt up to temperature yet' or something like that... for the price of their steaks, they shoudlnt make mistakes like that. always possible that i just got a n00b chef though.

My sister works at Ruth's Chris steakhouse in Dallas. She said it is very good but I heard it is very expensive.

I'm with you.. I've ate there twice in the last three days... The only steak I have ever liked better was at a place called The Palm in Las Vegas. They have a location here as well, but I have not tried them out here. But The Palm would be more expensive, when my wife and I went it was about $120 for the both of us without tip. That was appetizer, both dinners and one drick each. But Saltgrass defintley gets my vote..
