Default Head/machine shop to look at
a bad head. I have a head that was leaking oil on the #5 cylinder down in the chamber causing the head to smoke. I wanted to get the head checked out and see if it's fixable etc (not valve seals or anything like that. Either spring pocket got ported into or something along those lines) Just looking at suggestions of who to take it to.

Nate, bring those heads to me today. My guy will be at my house today most of the day and will be glad to look at them. You know my digits and where i live.

Mike Smith is in north fort worth off I35, i wouldn't have them do any work for me ever, but if you just need it checked out to make sure its true then they could surely take care of that.

Well after they get looked at and find out exactly what's wrong, I want them to be repared if possible so I can salvage something out of them.

most likely the valve seats right? i'm sure they could probably handle that there.... i just wouldn't have them doing any port work or anything like that.

nope. We replaced vavle seals etc on that cylinder. Prollie ported into the spring pocket or something along that line. There is a rough spot you can feel in the runner as well. Just want to get it checked out.

Mark...i work right next to MSMS and i've met many people with stories about how they fucked ports up, lost power with msms ported heads, and many several that had failures due to poor attention to detail.

WE talked alittle about this last night Nate when he was at my his...My buddy that is.
