I have Pacesetter long tubes with a Texas Speed True dual exhaust set up on my Trans AM. I am wanting to extend it out the back and put some high flow cats (already have them) on it to quiet it down a little bit. Does anyone know of a good shop in the houston/clear lake area that can do this custom work? Also, how much do you think I should be prepared to spend? Thanks for your help.
Mike at Icon does great Y-pipes, maybe he could fab something up for you. I paid $300 for a custom ypipe at a shop near my house. I'd think $500-$600 for the whole exhaust system. Give Mike a call and ask him 832-731-5906. He's located in Stafford.
Check the link in my sig, it's got info/pics with the same thing done to my old duals. It was cheap as hell to run them out the back. I supplied the cats/tips and they supplied the pipe/flanges.
Damn man, that looks great! What kind of tips are those? Did you just go to a local exhaust shop? How much did it run you? I dont want to bring it to a place where they havent worked on these types of cars before. Last time my buddy did that, the exhaust rested on the rear axle and it sounded like someone was banging on the car when the car was at idle.

The tips are 3" inlet magnaflows, found in the trucks/SUV section of their site. Search the magnaflow part number on ebay to find any magnaflow tip for half price.
I printed out a bunch of pics of DVST8OR's car, brought them to a local (decently known) exhaust shop, and said "Make it look like that". The prices are all listed in the top of the thread. $130 was a helluva deal, so you might be hard pressed to find it as cheap as that.
