I miss my old 400 EX..wasn't the fastest thing, but you could ride a wheelie on it forever. I never had any problems with the 2 Banshee's I've had..maybe it was because I had the red powerbands, it's the bikes with the green powerbands that have to have constant top-end rebuilds

Hey red5.3, last year a guy named Bryan from around Paris bought the '99 Banshee I had. I think he was going to race it at the dragstrip? It had the black '04 Limited plastics. Just wondering if you had seen it..

Cool..small world huh? Yea, I really hated to sell it, but it just sat in the garage. Tell him if he ever decides to get rid of it to holler at me. It belonged to my best friend, and I bought it from his dad after he passed away.

Then you've never seen anyone thats rides them right. If your goin ***** out on any 2stroke and riding it to the edge in every moto, then yes, that top end might last you 20-25 hours before it needs a rebuild. On all of my CR's, I rebuilt them after every 3rd weekend, so you figure after MAYBE 6-8 hours.

I'm not talkin drag though. Thats ridin them hard 10-15 seconds at a time. I'm talkin about full out AMA Quad racing, motocross, 30-40minute moto's.

If ya want to ride and enjoy it without alot of maintenance,go 4-stroke.If ya don't mind the maintenance and want to kick the **** outta everthing, buy the Banshee.Oh,yeah and I mean drag racing wise on the Banshee.I build drag Banshees from the ground up all the time,as long as the portwork is right and the tuning is right you won't have a problem having a 90hp alky true 350 run a full season.I've done it many times and ran 4.3's in 300ft. on a stock chassis with a 10 over arm and 1-5 override tranny.I do my own portwork, swingarms, tuning and setup.I just don't see the point in Moto-xing a Banshee.Go with a 450 if you ain't into dragracing.

BTW LS69TA I've owned 2 more Banshees since the one I bought from you.A guy in Paris offered me more than I could pass up on the black one.I hated to sell it but couldn't pass on it.I'm building another one for next year plus one for red5.3.I got about 3 months to do it so we can make it for our ATV class at Paris dragstrip.Gonna run some 6's this year.(1/8th)
