unfortunate
long story short, according to my local shop that i have a friendly relationship with, mti put in a not-full set of plugs, and two of them werent even in tight at all, causing my engine to misfire and a couple times almost getting me into wrecks when pulling out of a parking lot or turning right onto a street because i couldnt accelerate. So of course i called mti and they said that yes they replaced them with nkg's (i couldnt remember if they had so i asked) and denied being able to make any mistakes like those during spark plug installation. well the evidence was right there in the engine for all to see. whats that phrase? the proof is in the pudding i think. and that was that.
so after spending money to fix a problem that couldve been prevented by mti's mechanic not half-assing his work, i'm going to pick up my car and not give mti any more of my business. im not a mechanic nor to i try to act like i know how to do **** to my car, but even an idiot can understand when there are different brand spark plugs under the hood and a couple of them are so loose you can pull em out with two fingers, somebody fucked up.
im done venting.
who do yall recommend for dyno tuning in houston since i'm not goin back to mti, and tuning was what i was planning on doing already until this misfiring **** started?
Having said that, I'm going to need some tangible proof and information - can you please have the mechanic that saw and diagnosed this call me directly so I can discuss this with him? My number at the shop is (281) 870-8787.
Thanks,
David
