FFL transfer anyone???

FFL transfer anyone??? I'm looking at a pistol at an out of state gun shop (I might actually get three - one for me, one for her, and one for the hell of it).
The out of state shop has a three day non-firing inspection, so I'm guessing I'd want an FFL shop with a GOOD gunsmith to do the transfer and inspection.
If anyone has any advice/suggestions, please let me know.
