Default Possibly moving to Houston

What's up guys? My friend and I are currently down here in Houston looking around debating to move down here. We were up at MTI earlier and they told me to get on LS1tech, because the Texas forum is the Houston forum...as well as HoustonPerformanceDriving.com

Just looking to see if anyone is around, willing to meet up...I wouldn't mind trying to know a few people down here before I move. I know you guys have a good amount of quick cars down here, so I would like to meet some people before I decide to live on the northside or southside for the April event.

Seriously though, we are looking around the Sugar Land area mostly, but as of right now, really have no idea where to go. Your weather leaves much to be desired, what is up? We drive down here from MO to get my friends Z06 tuned at Texas Speed in Lubbuck (holy hell that's far) anyways....we are now in Houston, driving a 600+whp Z06 throgh the ice storms, rain, etc...just to be down here. And this is how you thank us.

Anyways, if anyone is available Thursday - Saturday to meet up, we are up for saying hello, get a feel for Houston from a Houstonian.

If you can meet up, please feel free to call my cell or pm me your info and we can try and set a time up.

There were two Black Z06's over there when we were there. Not sure if you saw my friends (Chris) or the other one w/ the C6 wheels.

We are likely going to hit up HPE on Saturday to meet some people as well. Too bad this weather is what it is though, would have been nice to have some good weather while we were in town.

Well....since HPE was cancelled we never got a chance to meet anyone. Regardless, we will be moving to Houston this first part of February, going to live down in the Silver Lakes, Pearland area....so if anyone is from that area and you happen to spy either Chris' Black Z06 or my Silver RX7, feel free to stop us and say hi. Hopefully we can make some of the local meets/events once we get down there and the weather is a bit nicer out. So I guess, we will be running with the South guys when you get your North vs. South events running.

Weather was awesome yesterday.. Some other members came down this week and loved it so much they are both thinking of making the move. You can see their thoughts of Houston in the threads they posted in this section.. Good luck in finding what you are looking for.

WELCOME TO LS1TECH.com!!!

The weather has been real crappy as of late, but maybe you'll bring the sunshine when you move here! lol

I live really close to the area you are moving to, and there is alot here from that side of Houston.

Got any pics of your ride or your buddies? Both sound pretty sweet.

Peace,
Craig.

Sorry, I could care less about hills....the less hills there are means the more flat stretches of road there are. Plus I hear that Baytown is considered to be the fastest track in the US due to the sea level atmoshpere...should be fun.

As far as the cars, my car is currenty under the knife....so it won't be down there until spring time. My car is a Silver 93 RX7 sitting on black CCW's. I'll see if being around more LS1 guys gives me an itch to drop in an LS1 into my car....we'll see. Chris' Z06 is a black/black 408ci D1SC that makes 630rwhp letting out due to a faulty meth pump....should be around 670whp or so before we get down there though.

Here are a couple of pics of my previous RX7's as well as some pics of Chris Z06.
