That form is that for just this reason that she's having. She got a "late" 1099. Now she must REFILE with the IRS, even if it drastically changes the numbers. AFTER she's recieves the refund, restart Turbo Tax and put in the new numbers. Turbo Tax sHOULD automatically do it without to much difficult on the filers part.

Well, I haven't actually submitted her return yet. I was actually waiting for that form. She was because its hers. But she told me that she should be getting one, so we waited before we submitted. So its not too late. I entered it in and it made her return drop down $380. Not to $380 total, but $380 less than what she was getting before she entered in the 1099-MISC. Am I confused or you?

All cleared up. But it was good info non the less right?
Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you want to be close to 0 in the end? All you are doing when you get a big return is letting the gov. borrow your money tax free...I say forget them and claim as many things as I can. This way you see it in your paychecks and not in that one lump some at the begining of May, or whenever you file and receive.

The IRS isn't THAT smart. They get ripped off like anything else. At work all of these "ghetto" women claim other people's kids every year to get back up to 6,000$. How on earth do you claim so many different SS#s over the years and never get caught?
