If it really is actually $130k I'd just get a 997 Turbo.. ALOT better car, may not have all the little widgets but iono Audi < Porsche as far as quality goes.

it is when you take into account that the ss owner walked away with an extra 50k in his pocket

I would venture to say you get alot more out of this car then you would a camaro ss.

And the camaro would still be a camaro

Powell from the research I have done its 80-90 (american)

If it was the same price no question the new new Turbo is way better of a performer then the R8

- doesnt it come with 480/500 from the factory?

The Porsche this year is 450, I think. But it still runs like 11.6s @ 120-122. The Audi does look pimp though if it is 80-90 US then yeah thats a lot better, but a 130-140 I'd look else where.

If thats the cost then that should be a bad *** car! I'd get the white one!

2007 997

This top-of-the-line 997 can reportedly be maxed at 193 mph. Although the final numbers have yet to be confirmed, the manual version is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds. The Tiptronic model (a sequential manual will come later) does the job even quicker—3.8 seconds—eclipsing the much more expensive Carrera GT in the process. This essentially means the death of the GT2 model, but there eventually will be a Turbo S, which should be rated at about 510 hp. In its current guise, the force-fed, 3.6-liter boxer engine musters 480 hp at 6000 rpm and 457 lb-ft between 1950 and 5000 rpm. The new variable-vane turbocharger is responsible for both the tall, altar-shaped torque curve and for an overboost function that briefly kicks the torque up to 502 lb-ft.

I think its more of the fact the R8 is like a Acura NSX. It looks damn good, but should have more HP's. But there is more that goes into the car than power. Im sure Audi could have easy made it 500hp if they wanted to. Handling, braking, suspension, etc. good feedback and confidence for the driver. Hopefully after Im done with school, I can start shopping for high end cars. Till then its keep the camaro or get a C6.

What did you think of the Lexus IS-F?

That's a sexy Audi. The front and rear look awesome, but the profile looks a little awkward to me for some reason. I want all wheel drive for my next car.

A lot more of what? Apparently, you are viewing this car as a status symbol...throwing out the price tag and all.

A new ZO6 would ***-rape that car.
