installing a catback exhaust (and removing the stocker)
Only thing you might need more than a basic ratchet set would be a hacksaw to get the old exhaust off and maybe some band clamps. Of course, a jack to get the rear in the air is needed too.
Tools are an investment. To me, if I can pay a shop $60 to do the install OR spend $60 in tools to do it myself...I'm doing it myself because I get the work done AND get to keep the tools. What shop do you know that lets you take the tools they used home afterward?

Anyway, just my 2 cents.
apartment was only supposed to be temporary until I got back on my feet, but ended up being here for 9 months and just waiting to move out at the end of march... I've got **** out on the patio that I'd rather not have
but theres just no room, if I were to put my coffee table in the living room I'd barely be able to move between anything. Not to mention I've got about 300 bucks in stainless cookware that I end up keeping in the oven half the time because I just don't have the cabinet or pantry space for anything
no idea where I'd even think of puting a jack, stands and more tools...
so, you can see my dilema, to me it makes more sense to pay somebody to do it for me, for sheer lack of room for anything else.
sure, when I get a larger place I'll do it, but i'm not moving an exhaust when I pack up this apartment to move it into a new place
because seriously, right now, the only spare space I have is the 2 feet on either side of my bed, and the rather small area thats left of my living room ...
of course if I sell my relcliner and sofa that matches, I'd be a tad more comfy... haha.
meh.
sorry.
ranting.
i need to shut up.
typing that caused me to realize that this apartment sucks and I have far too much stuff... its never clean either.
