I wouldnt do it... it sucks not having a car, but there are much better cars for $6500 (IMO). That and if you ever wanted to sell the car, the flood title would make it very hard to get that much for it.

I'd pass as well with the flood title. That and you probably are always going to have problems with the car due to the water damage.

He said that it never actually had flood damage. The motor blew so he told the insurance company that it had flood damage to get it replaced. not sure if thats true tho.

That car seems (from the picture) that it's been repainted (a different color too) what's with that or is it just me? I would stay away from color change/repaints unless waaaay cheap.

ya he said the front has been repainted. In the pics it looks like the hood is a diff shade black, but it might just be the glare. When I test drove it a couple months ago. it was dark outside, so I couldnt tell anything.

So, you are going to take the unverified word of a self-confessed liar?

If he will lie to the insurance company, he will lie to you to sell the car.

Even if he was telling the truth (I doubt it) $6500 is way to much for a salvage-titled car that has had that much damage and that many miles. Even the replacement parts have been put in on the cheap. I'll bet the "lifetime" warranty on the motor is for the usual as long as you [the seller] owns the car. It won't do you any good when it spins a bearing 1500 miles down the road. Keep looking.
