Well for me it was very hard for me to land one of these positions before I had a lot of experience etc... But what I did was enrole in the 2 yr program at San Jacinto CC and enrolled in there placement center and I got a job before I ever completed the 2 YR degree. San Jac's placement center is second to none and I tested at San Jac for atleast 10 companies I was always contacted in advance and that is how I got hired at ExxonMobil. I am currently working at BP in Texas city now 7yrs later. I also know that they have an intern program here at BP and a few other plants around the area. Let me know if you need anything else always willing to help a person looking for employment. Also Certified, Kellys services, Meador staffing, Hewitt services does 99% of the hireing for the plants the other one percent do it themselves. Good luck.

Without having any related experience or school, you should really look into BP's apprenticeship program.
The only other way to get into a plant is by luck, or knowing someone that works there, because for every job opening there are literally hundreds of people applying.
