Default Almost Totaled the Car

I had just got off work and had to pick something up at wally world. On the way back I was doing around 60mph on the highway in heavy rain. I was on top of an over pass and I saw some tow truck lights about a mile and a half up ahead. All of a sudden both lanes of traffic were at a dead stop, I locked the brakes up and started sliding. I barely made it on the shoulder just before rearing ending a car at around 50-55, I kept sliding down the shoulder for what seemed like 1000'. I was able to make it into the grass safely, I had to rock my way out of the mud. Just this morning I put brand new front rotors, calipers, pads and lines on the car. If I hadnt done this I probably wouldnt be typing this post. What suprised me is how perfectly straight the car slid. The back tires honestly didnt move 6''s to either side. I just thank god I made it out alright.

I must be luckyy car handles great in the rain. I run a tire that has all weather capabilitys and has a nice tread pattern. I don't run Nittos on the street I put tires on to go to the track. so far no problems (Knock on Wood).
