Default Where to purchase new vette?

I want to get a new vette. Any help with the best place to purchase one? Best prices and maybe even a salesperson that you know of that can give me the best deal. Anything will help.

I recently bought a vette from Mac Haik and would definetly reccomend them. The deal that you will get will likely depend on how many vettes that they have in stock optioned out the way that you want. When I was looking, most of the dealers had five automatics for every one 6 speed on thier lot.

What ever you do, do not go to Bill Heard or Land Mark.

What's the deal with that $20-40,000 "location fee", or whatever it's called, that they tack on when you buy a Vette???

All the dealers are charging a "market adjustment" on the Z06 because they can due to the high demand for them. Bill Heard and Landmark are the only ones that I know of that try to tack on a $5-10K adder to regular Vettes for what amounts to a starter kill and a pin stripe.

You should be able to get a coupe or convertible for $2-3K below sticker, maybe as much as $5-6k off of a fully loaded 07 Vette if you are willing to wait until the 08's hit the lots in late summer/fall as they will have the LS3 which is rumored to be a 6.2L with 425-435 hp. The 08's that hit the lots this year will likely sell at or above sticker.

try this place my dad was looking into them. they had a good deal but he got someone in town to match it when he ordered it from them. long story short the dealer he ordered from was not allowed a vette and led him on. he ended up finding one in town like he wanted but not such a good deal. might be a possibility if it is a good enough deal if not a barganing token.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a dealership. Sorry to be an ***. Just had to poke some fun. Honestly, just go around a few places and check them out. Also, talk to them about the parts. Start throwing words around like compression ratio, MAF, and slip disk. Some times, not saying all or even most, but some times, you can get a better price by showing them they really don't know anything about the vehicle. Most salesmen know how to sell, and don't know anything about cars. Perfect example: my girl just bought an '05 V6 GMC Sierra from one of the dealers on I-10 just East of 99...I don't what he saw/counted, but I sure as hell found some concrete evidence of a V8 (I can count)!!!

Also, you can always throw in the old "I just moved to (insert city in TX) and am just back to see some friends" half way through negotiations. I'd only do that if you think the guy is trying to screw you over. Honesty deserves honesty.

Thanks I will be out in the market Friday. I went to westside and they worked with me one day and when I went back to sign things seem to have changed and my payments went up so I'm not going back there. Ill try Mac Haik first.

Hands down best dealer I've ever dealt with...Young Chevrolet in Dallas. Houston sucks *** to try and buy a Corvette!! They will flat out rip you off as much as they possibly can. I dealt with 11 dealerships during the hunt for my Z...Almost went to Georgia but Hal Hipp stepped up so I headed to Dallas. Give him a call he'll treat you right!

Call Jerry Johnson @ Champion Chevrolet (I-45S and the Beltway). Tell him David at MTI sent you over there. He's fair and will work hard to find the Vette you're looking for.

Regards,

David
