Inspection Question
Inspection Question I went to get my vehicle inspected and its a 94 so they put it on that dyno looking machine.
Well what they did is they let my car idle and put the sensor prong in my exhaust pipe while an older 80's boneville was spinning on the machine. Well i failed emmisions. Does the other car spinning the maching have anything to do with it?

they tried to get your car to pass. they ran the other car at the desired speed and let your idle. they did this because they thought you would be putting out less emmissions at idle that at 15 mph or whatever.
go back and slip the guy a 20 and have him put the sensor in a honda or something.

why did they spin the other car while idling yours? i took a class on using that dyno but usually you have to make the car with the prong use the dyno to see the changes in the gases. i say go to border town also.
on the 25 MPH test:
HC: 354 to pass you need less than 117
CO%: 4.72 to pass you need less than 0.65%
on the 15 MPH test
HC: 366 to pass you need less than 120
CO%: 4.81 to pass you need less than 0.67
