If you cannot do it in the 1/8th you probably wont get it done in the 1/4 mi.

I did 6.6s in the 1/8th at 101-102 mph with a stock long block naturally aspirated in my '00 SS, cutting mid 1.3s in the 60 ft.
I have nothing against 1/8th mile, but its too short of a race in my opinion.
Not only are wheelies a waste of motion, but an engine killer if you aren't dry sumped or have an aftermarket pan. I learned the hard way.
