Default How far is TOO far?

I have watched quite a few interesting car related threads in the past get either locked, removed, or sent to "seatstaysup". I have even had a couple of my posts and threads in the past get locked or totally removed and they were actually car related in some shape or form.

Don't you think its pretty ridiculous that the hottest topic in the Texas section right now is one that a 18-20 year old kid is posting pictures of his and his girlfriends *** and talking about them having sex? Whats even worse is that a few moderators are requesting to see the video of them having sex?

I have seen many heated, "stirred up pot" street racing post get locked or someone calling someone else out to run get locked!? Wtf? Thats where the fun is!! Members cant even request opinions on who REALLY knows how to tune late model EFI on here anymore without it getting locked but yet, put up a post like this and it will be tolerated. I guess all it takes is a few pics and videos of some underage *** to keep y'all happy? They cant even be old enough to drink are they? Sad.

What makes me bring this up is that I met an older couple at BW3's yesterday with a CE Trans Am and they were new in town and to the "LS1 craze". I told them to check this site out, specifically the Texas Section because there is usually alot of good info and they could get the up and up on what's going on in Houston. Well they came by the shop today and said they checked the Texas section out and said they "didnt find too much info through all the child **** crap"! I was like WTF? Well they may have been exaggerating a bit but I see what they mean.

I have to agree with you on this. Some of the moderator's talk to you like your a piece of ****. Talk down on you and other stuff that I have seen. It gets old when you see it over and over. I mean c'mon guys what happened to this being a site where people enjoy to get on and make threads without them being locked up.

I'm new to this site and already unimpressed with the amount of garbage I have to sift through to find any meaningful information about the LS1 and f-bodies. Its getting to the point that I don't even want to trade in for a TA because of this community.
Maybe its just a phase, or maybe not. But this whole site doesn't seem to provide as much help as the forums I frequent for help and knowledge.

This also makes me think the stereotypical "look at me" testosterone reaking perception of f-body drivers has some validity. Is that so? Can y'all at least keep it out of the Texas sub-forum.

If you want information, peruse the TECH sections.

There is a ton of info on this site. You have to go to the right forums though. As for the porno stuff I think that is why SSU was started so it should go there. I like the Texas section for the BS'ng about all things Texas and Texas racing scene.

I have to agree that the Texas section really isn't the place to look for tech help.

No I follow where you are going with this. I was stating it for the new guy. But I would say since I have been a member the section does some roller coaster like things.

Sorry about the vagueness. I know better than to look in regional forums for tech help, I came here to see how the local community compares to the out of state whack-o's. Maybe when I get back into Houston between finals and summer school I can meet up with some of you guys for some fun runs(probably not in my car).

Thanks for the helpful directions,
Jason

I agree that sometimes the moderators get too buddy-buddy with certain members and shops and will delete **** that I probably wouldn't. Honestly, it does get old, and I'm tired of some of them trying to protect their buddies and shops. I usually let **** fly until there is personal threats, which we do not allow here. We also do not allow sponsor bashing or negative bandwagoning, and provide the proper forums for legit complaints to be handled.

I don't mind some of the silly threads, that is what this section is for. As for child ****, I must have missed that one. I'll go look for this thread and ****-can it.

If some of you guys want to talk **** to eachother, go for it. Just don't come crying and asking me to delete stuff if you get your feelings hurt. As long as there are no personal threats, you guys can have some fun.

Tony

You have calmed down quite a bit since your Vobra days

We do not need more moderators at the moment, especially in the TX forum where half of our staff hangs out anyways. haha
