Is I-45 closed all weekend?

Im thinking about going to galveston tomorrow and I heard that I-45 is closed both ways starting tonight at 9, all weekend long. Anyone know anything about this?

Damm sounds like the whole friggin town is shut down. guess I better bring shoes to go look at a truck when I head up there sunday. Anybody know how bad traffic is out by hobby airport area. I know nothing about houston or getting around there.

take hwy 6 or hwy 3 itll bypass nasa rd 1 shutdown

Take 288 south to hwy 6, hang left, go to Galveston.

The traffic was piled back up past the beltway last weekend, which is several miles from Nasa Rd 1.
