IF you want to run (there's that word again) let's go from a dig and see how you fair against a h/c car that has a shitty driver from a stop (we are both 6sp cars and I'm on street tires what's there to worry about mr big bad boosted ls1.

i have nothing to worry about on a heads cam car from any race, but i have a stock clutch thats on it's last thread. if i had a better one, i would race from a dig more and i would be racing nick from a dig and the other formula. theres a reason why i didnt want to run from a dig, i guess you missed the post.
paying full price for a kit..... hmmm, if you think you know all about FI, go in there and ask 1 person how much they paid for ANY kit and THEN ask them how many other things did they have to buy in order to get it running right.
people dont understand, you can get a boosted 6spd out of the whole just as fast as a boosted auto...... it's called a 2 step. anything after the 60' depends on how good the 6spd driver is
im not afraid to get beat by another LS1, i could really careless, there will always be someone faster...... but even you should know that a lightly modded auto from a roll wouldnt beat your car. if you think it can, then you dont trust your car nor know anything about LS1's.
I know im not the smartest one in the bunch, but atleast i know my math. YES the STS kit has draw backs, did i know that when i bought it? no. i originally was going to go H/C just like you, but there were too many around here, so i went turbo, and i get better gas mileage
so i have a Z28 with full exhaust and a turbo cam with no boost and with boost, i get a killer sleeper
