Default looking for some help

anyone every bought a car long distance?
im thinking about it ive gottten several pictures. the guys parents are moving out and he cant keep the car...hes even offered extra parts he has laying around his garage...but my father doesnt trust anyone and thinks the guy might be a crook and try to steal my money ect? any ideas?
what would yall do in this situation?

i bought mine in SA my mom was the same way..... so i just drove my happy *** over there and took the risk of my life

1 way plane ticket, if the car wasn't what you expected then buy another 1 way back home, if you like it then buy it and drive home

plane tickets arn't that much when your talking about something expensive as a car

cant drive it no motor or tranny

i plan on going in my own truck with my own trailor and driving up there

parents are mostly worried about the cash and my "life"

unless you really really really want THAT car, dont do it. its a lot of extra time and money, so it had better be some super low mileage collectable edition or something.

i went a got it...he gave me a extra 1500 bux worth of parts im going to try and sell...car had 70k on it for a 93

guy was nice and was gritting his teeth when i was moving the fendes and trying to slide them into the car, and the bumpers, he was a great guy
