Default Getting out of the Army after 4 years.

Well after 4 years in the infantry I am moving back to Tx. Aug 12. I will be northweast of Dallas by Denton.
First and formost, I need a job untill I start school in 08.
Anyone got any ideas. I have a secret clearence if that helps.
I am a strong leader and an even harder worker.

Now for the fun stuff. Where are the meets and hangouts in DFW? I need to get into some groups down there.

Thanks for serving us... what type of job do you think you would enjoy for a semester? What are you planning on going to school for?

Is there any skills that you could bring to the civilian sector that you learned in your MOS?

Unfortunatly, the secret clearance doesn't mean much nowadays. (or at least me and I knew a ton of classified info with my old USAF job).

It's all about paralleling your experience.

1 word... 4 letters... Iraq.

I don't know about this gentleman, but some of my friends are tired of the bureaucratic BS over there (changing of the SOP a lot, ROE's never consistant... and they all say do not fire until fired upon... then *think* about firing). The guys I know are pretty gung ho too, one tried out for special forces selection but got called back because his unit was going to the desert.

A good decision. Now get a job as a contractor and go overseas to Iraq and make big bucks. They will take anybody. That's why I went. I stayed for a year, and came back fat. Good luck.

Thanks for the replys guys.

I will probably go to school at NCTC for a couple of semesters to save some of my gi bill.

The main problem with the job thing is that there is not alot of call for infantry skills in civy life.

The reason I am getting out is because nomatter what you do you still have to have a degree.
