What motor do I have??
What motor do I have?? I bought an '01 Tahoe two days ago for a daily driver and want to know which motor I have in it for ummm gas reasons 
I assume I look up the VIN to find out but can someone tell me where to search it to find out if I have a 4.8 or a 5.3 please.

I have a set of Kappa components that I might put in the front doors for a little more mid bass.
I thought about putting that one chamber flowmaster that I have on it but I think it will be way to loud and have a ton of sound drone.
I will probably get it tuned as the idle sits at about 500 and I think its a little low.

the low idle is your throttle body, i work at a chevy dealership as a tech and these always do that pull the intake pipe off the TB and youll noticed that its all gummed up with grime, just buy any type of aresol cleaner at autozone or whatever and clean it out with a rag, it'll be a little hard to start but it will be ok, just give it some gas!
