anyways you can just pick out the style of plate, and give them your name that you want and they will tell yes or no, better have a couple names just in case. i cant tell you where to go and check to see whats takin already.
it will cost you some more money to get custom plates.
When I went to my local tag office, they gave me a form and told me I had to send it in. Didn't say anything that they could search, etc...and this was when I was getting my tags done.

you need to see if the plate is available by calling (512) 374-5010 and select option 4
and then fill out this form and mail it in with a $40 check enclosed
