This is why I deal with EBay; people are less likely to back out and you do not have a bunch of messing around on there! Maybe they sold the parts to someone else?

Nothing wrong with a seller going with the first person to come up with the money - I think they'd be stupid not to. I've found for every 4 or 5 peeps that say they'll buy something, you'll get one that actually follows through. With paypal, there is no reason you can't have the money ready to go, and even if you are short, you can always secure a transaction with a deposit.

Or maybe they prefer to sell it locally or to a friend. With as much traffic as this site has, there are many reasons they wouldn't HAVE to sell to you.

Let's face it, this is a seller's market.

I'm gonna go with they sold it locally, even if the buyer loses a couple of bucks, it still beats having to find a box and deal with shipping. Just the way the cookie crumbles.

Ok first I dont mind someone selling something to another people. But atleast give me the chance to get you the money. Like when I PM saying I"LL BUY IT.!!! and I ask for your Paypal email and by the time you Pm me back you already sold it. Thats ****. ANd if you do sell it atleast let me know, so I'm not waiting on something I can't have. I'll just go find something else.

I know this is dumb but **** Come on ppl,

You are just too slow. There are no "dibs" on this site, the first one who pays typically gets the parts. Just because you sent a PM or replied in a thread, that doesn't mean you were the first to do so. They could have the ad listed on five different websites and craigslist too.

Ok heres the convo I had with this person. You tell me if I'm in the wrong...
My first PM..
So they have 72cc chambers. And these are great for a turbo car. Correct? Are they milled any or stock. What lift are the springs good up to. I'll send you a check out tomorrow or paypal. For $1850. and then just send me the heads when the check clears. Which it will. Need an address and name. Thanks. Jordan
Heres my Address.
His reply back...
Hi Jordan, They have never been milled. Exactly like they came out of the box. Springs are conservatively rated for .650 lift.
I'll give you a call on it tomorrow and work out the details and any questions you may have.

The key word you used is "tomorrow". Someone else probably told him "right now".

send them a PM, and leave it at that. If you reply in the thread, it bumps the thread to the top, and everyone else gets to see it on top, verses being lost on the 3rd or 4th page. If you don't like paying full with pay pal, use it as a deposit, and mail the rest as a check.

I sold an engine on here not too long ago. I had people just like you saying that, "consider it sold," and the "sold to me" postings, and they never paid up. They're looking to low ball, or they're wanting parts. Talk is cheap, be the first to pay up, and have an idea how much you're willing to spend.

Had this exact same thing happen too many times. People say "Sold" then when you contact them, they want to haggle on the deal. Then they back out after a day or two because you wont haggle down. In the meantime...the other interested buyers who couldhave, and would have made the buy..have since moved on and purchased other items.

I'm pissed just thinking about it again.

I will say this though playing devils advocate, if I sent the PM kwikkar did, and got a reply saying youd contact me in the morning to arrange the details on the sale...I'd probably be pissed too.

But Cash is King, and its hard to pass on the guy who shows up at your door with a wad-o-cash he can slap down in your hand.
