Need DFW mechanic
Need DFW mechanic Looking for a reputable shop that will do extended warranty work on my car. Dealerships that I have visited suck and basically refuse to fix something that they have already fixed once.
Trying to make a long short, car began to get a tick shortly after I got it. Progressively got louder, had head gasket go and dealer discovered my lifters were shot. They replaced them and within 1k miles, the tick came back. This and anther dealer were really adiment about it being piston slap. But it went completely away after the lifter install and ran much, much smoother from top to bottom. Pretty much it in a nutshell.
Mainly looking for someone that knows what they're doing and will actually listen to my concerns. Here's a vid of my car where you can here the noise very well. Note it at around 5k as well. This also went away with the install.
