(first, how did you know i was longhorn fan???).. that was great victory against UT minus starting QB. /clap clap (nice cheap shot on McCoy too). even better was the follow up to that game, post season is AtMs strong suit... what is yalls bowl record for the last 5 years? UT sits at a paltry 4-1, including 2 rose bowl championships and 1 national title. i forgot yalls 5 year bowl record...1-2? at least yall took care of powerhouse TCU for that single post season V.. as a matter of fact.. isn't that your sole post season Victory since the 95 season? way to represent the B12

i dont know what to tell you, ya'll have a better funded and all around program than us. really ya'll have a really good team and ya'lls record is really good!

when people want to go to ut they want to go the cuz of ya'lls football team and partly cuz its a party school. ''hey i want to go to a school where i can stick two fingers in the air and brag to everybody that we have a kick *** football team!, **** school! wooooooooooooo!!!''

people's sole choice to come to A&M is not football or the party scene....

is it really going to matter 50 years from now? Khaos, i hear ya, its nice to brag every 5 years, "yeah we beet tu!!" is that really that bad?

Are you kidding me, people want to go to UT because of the football team, those people are a thin slice of the student population. Most people want to go to UT because of a number of things including;

1. Austin is just a kick *** city where you can ALWAYS find something to do
2. (if your a guy)about 99.9% of the girls there are gorgeous!
3. UT is excellent all around academically
4. Sports Powerhouse

and probably a ton more that I'm not going to bother writing!

Oh yea UT>TAMU

you are out of your mind!

go look at where our petroleum engineering school stands. hell any engineering school out of UT is the same if not better than aTm's.

our business school and communication school are lightyears ahead of atm's.

but back to football, the teams will speak for themselves on T+1...

I'm personally enjoying the ~8 postion in the polls... where will aTm be?

Money and Facilities is not an issue, both A&M and UT have more than enough money to win on a high level. A&M has a VERY strong offense this year, they have what some beleive is the top ranked offensive line in the country as well as 3 strong run threats in McGee, Goodson and Lane. They have 2 very good tight ends but lack skill/experience at WR, but the talent is there. A&M will win or lose based soley on how their defense plays this year, last year they went from 107th to like 45-50th in overall defense under new DC Darnell, so if they continue to improve at that rate they will be hard to beat next year. With that type of offense they have if the other team doesnt score in bunches it will be hard to win just because the sheer amount of time A&M can control the ball on the ground. I think the Ags win 9-10 games this year with the potential to do even better, and yes I do think they will make it two in a row against the Horns at Kyle. The Horns better hope their defense gets ALOT better because they were horrible last year. To be honest, A&M was 5 points away from being undefeated last year in the regular season, those last second losses to NU TTU and OU killed us.

we will be fine, we should not have a problem getting into a bcs bowl this year purely due to our schedule strength.

How many Aggies does it take to start a bonfire?

Ok, ok. Out of line. I'm a Hog fan, so I could care less, but because I like underdogs, I'll root for A&M.

Everyone picks a school for different reasons. I picked TAMU and I've been very happy with my choice, as are many people I've met from UT. Understanding school loyalty and rivalry there will be animosity and bickering but non the less continue on with a topic that's been discussed more times than "what cam do I need for my setup."

After looking around, I say congrats to anyone that is going to a school as good as UT or TAMU and is able to finish with a degree that means something.

UT should have a good season, but I'll believe it when I see it. If Colt stays healthy and the running games steps up, the Longhorns should have another 1-2 loss season. They can't overlook TCU on 9/8. That game has trap written all over it.

Also, they need to do a better job of NOT GETTING ARRESTED.

I went to UT because they have an excellent engineering school. I partied my way right out, and it's still one of the biggest regrets of my life. For those of you in college: Don't waste this opportunity.

Texas has the offense to win, assuming Cart stays healthy, but if that defense is ANYTHING like it was last year you gotta look at OSU, TTU, OU, NEB, and A&M as potential losses, and like someone said before TCU could be one of those early season games that just doesnt go the Horns way. Just ask Tech about TCU, I think they held them to like 3 points or some ****.

No argument there. The defensive secondary got torched on an alarmingly regular basis, and losing Chizik probably won't help.

he was our secondary coach, and he is not nearly as conservative as Chizik....

which is good because it will take advantage of our speed and talent, plus our defense can't be worse than it was last year

How many O-linemen does UT return? I think A&M returns em all, what other starters did the Horns lose?
