what year is it? it should be a digital odometer which the number is saved into the computer soo no matter if the donor cluster came from a car with 1,000,000,000,000 miles on it, it will show the mileage your car has on it

When I worked at the dealership we had places to send out our clusters to. Not sure how you would find out the source directly, but if you've got the $, I know the dealerships can do it right.

Man, I wanna say that I remember charging a couple of hundred bucks a pop, but the mileage was verifiable to a significant extent, and would "check out" under a car-fax type reference system.

You can dismantle the cluster and swap over the odometer part. I do not believe that needle removal is necessary. I'm almost certain you don't have to remove the needles to do it.

Really not as hard as it looks. Just pay close as you dismantle it.

I don't mean to be argumentative, but they made the odo. difficult to tamper with on purpose. You may have skills that far surpass my own, but I would leave this job to the professionals.
